Guitarist and composer Prashant Samlal creates a world of impressionistic harmonies and dreamy sound textures with guitar effects, loop station, and synthesizer. His music is inspired by ECM albums, 60s jazz, Ambient/Electronic, Indian raga music, and other musical traditions, but with a focus on his own vision and sound. This results in expressive improvisation-based music that emerges from acoustic/electronic sounds and loops. His solo work can be heard on his recently released album Observing Thought.

Zijn muziek wordt o.a. geïnspireerd door ECM-albums, 60s Jazz, Ambient/Electronic, Indiase Raga en andere muziektradities, maar met een focus op een eigen visie en sound. Dit uit zich in expressieve geïmproviseerde muziek die ontspringt uit akoestische/elektronische sounds en loops. Zijn solo-werk is tevens te horen op zijn onlangs uitgekomen album Observing Thought.
